Aroma Coffee only deals with those independent farmers who place greater importance on the quality, not quantity, of coffee produced. We make regular pilgrimages to the finest coffee-producing countries around the world, including Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee.

Our farming partners are also meticulous about providing welfare benefits for their employees. Some of the social welfare measures in place include:

  • Free living quarters with free electricity and water
  • Free education for the labourers childre,
  • Medical facilities, maternity benefits, and crèche facilities
  • Fair pay with bonus and incentive schemes

Environmentally aware, our growers have adopted sustainable farming practices, for example shade-growing the coffee to provide organic mulch as well as a habitat for birds and insects. All our coffees are grown on lands that have not been cleared of rainforest, making them ‘Rainforest Friendly’.

By selecting Aroma Coffee, you are directly contributing to the improved quality of life for those involved in growing and harvesting the coffee crop. Coffee is the second-highest traded commodity in the world and fifty per cent of it is grown on small, family-run farms. By dealing with dedicated independent Estate farmers, and by bypassing the brokers, it means we get the best, not just the available, beans each season. And this also ensures the farmers receive a fair price in return for the care they have taken in growing such exceptional coffees for us.
